Get Ready to Read:

Open to children age 3.5 to 6 – prior to entering 1st Grade.

• We encourage language development including phonics, rhyming, patterns and other pre-reading skills, vocabulary development, number skills, socialization, and fine motor skills in preparation for writing.
• There is no assessment fee at this level because the assessment is not as extensive as is necessary for older students.
• Sessions are 1.5 hours and we recommend twice a week! Parent consultations are scheduled once a month.

iCue You!:

Remedial students grades 1 to adult (ESL included here)

• These students are experiencing poor grades and trouble communicating to parents and teachers exactly what they don’t understand. ADD/ADHD students frequently fall behind in their work. Homework time is very stressful on everyone and voices have a tendency to get loud.
• Our students are interviewed and assessed to determine interests, learning strengths and concentration abilities as well as academic levels of competency. An individualized lesson plan is developed using information gathered from the assessment results, the student, parents and school personnel. Detailed notes are kept of each lesson and progress is reported to parents on a monthly basis.
• Instilling confidence and increasing motivation of our students, is as much a priority for us, as improving classroom grades!
• Frequency is determined by severity of need.

Above and Beyond:

Enrichment student’s grades 1- 12. (SAT, ACT Prep included here)

• These students are doing OK in school, maybe even have great grades, but the excitement for learning is gone, or maybe your student is just coasting along doing the minimum amount of work required.
• Our expectations and standards are high. We review and strengthen study and organization skills. Understanding the relevance and transferring skills to everyday life is an important part of every session.
• Most sessions are 1.5 hours twice a week!

Test Prep – PSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE:

Individualized:

• FREE practice test is given before classes begin to determine areas of weakness.

1 on 1 Homework Management Tutorial Program:

• Our 1 on 1 Homework Management Program is help for the child, who can’t seem to get organized, stay organized or plan for long term projects.
• This program does not require a testing assessment.
• Our Homework Management Tutorial Program is designed to assist the student with organizational skills including mentorship with on-line assignment managers, date-book/ planner organization and teacher communication.
• Goals for this program include completion of assignments, making assignment dates, organizational skills development and improved grades.
